Sharnford is a small lively village in rural Leicestershire, with exceptional transport links via the A5 giving easy access to the M69, M1 & M6, and East Midlands & Birmingham International Airports. History
The village of Scernford is mention in the Doomsday book, a scearn refers to a muddy ford and it is thought the village got it's name from a scearn over the river Soar. The village was originally a single parish divided into two manors.
