At Country Properties we have a portfolio of properties for let almost exclusively in village and rural locations. Our aim is to match you with your perfect property and make the process of finding a new home as stress free as possible.
Once you have searched our portfolio and found properties that have caught your eye we will arrange a viewing. You will be accompanied by an experienced member of staff who will be happy to answer any questions you may have and advise you on any issues you raise. Once you have decided on the property you wish to apply for we provide you with an application form and the process can get under way.
Prior to acceptance of your application we will require satisfactory references. These will include –
- A current employment reference
- A previous employment reference (if current is less than 6 months)
- A previous landlords reference (if applicable)
We are also required to undertake a full credit check. We use the services of an independent referencing company to obtain and evaluate these references.
A security deposit of a minimum of one months rent will be required. The deposit will be registered with one of the government-authorised tenancy deposit protection schemes. The tenancy deposit schemes are designed to give both Landlords and Tenants the re-assurance that the deposit is secure for the duration of the tenancy.
Rents are most commonly quoted on a calendar month basis and payable 1 month in advance. Unless otherwise stated, the tenant is also responsible for Council Tax, Water Rates, Gas, Electricity, TV license and Telephone costs, where appropriate.
